untitled
You took a calculated risk knowing
That the odds were totally against you;
You saved the ship knowing
You would not return from your Kobayashi Maru.
You lie there now, helpless and gasping,
Your body burned and wracked in pain,
Your noble head bowed and your breath strangely rasping -
Will you ever rise again?
You fight to stay awake a little longer, until the end,
You have so little time, but you know you can
Summon the strength to say farewell to your closest friend
Then he, and we, will grieve for you, the fallen Vulcan.
